PathFlow Now respects the intellectual property of others and asks visitors to do the same. Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512, we follow the procedure described on this page.
Sending an infringement notice
Should you conclude that something published here copies a work you hold rights to, write to us with all of the following:
- your signature, handwritten or electronic, as the rights holder or as someone authorized to act for the rights holder;
- a description of the protected work you believe has been copied;
- a description of the material you object to, with enough detail for us to find it, ideally the exact web address;
- a way to reach you: full name, mailing address, phone number and email;
- confirmation that you honestly believe the use you are reporting has not been permitted by the rights holder, by an agent of the rights holder, or by law;
- a declaration, given under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you hold the copyright or speak for the person who does.
A notice that leaves out any of these elements may not be something we can act on.

Counter-notification
If material you posted was removed or disabled and you believe this happened by mistake or because the material was misidentified, you may send a counter-notification. It must contain:
- your signature, handwritten or electronic;
- a description of the material that was taken down and the web address where it used to appear;
- a declaration under penalty of perjury that you honestly believe the takedown happened in error or that the material was wrongly identified;
- your name, mailing address and phone number, plus confirmation that you accept the authority of the federal district court where you live (or, if you are outside the United States, the court for our district) and that you will accept legal papers from whoever sent the original complaint.
False claims
Anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). Please consider that before sending a notice or counter-notification.
Repeat infringers
Where appropriate, we may end the access of any user who is found to infringe copyright repeatedly.
